Due to the Making Matter’s pop-up shop’s popularity we are now regarded as a well-established art venue in Farnham. We experienced another successful third year of exhibiting different artists’ work. We have built up a loyal community of people supporting our creative pursuits. I was happy to see some familiar collectors purchasing new pieces and to be introduced to a wider audience.

So wonderful to finally be able to show these two gems. They have been wrapped away for so long and they are two pieces that I am specifically attached to, as they so strongly fulfil expressing my feelings of grief. Please see further “Elements Redefined 2020” Exhibition arranged in the future, if you wish to have a chance to see them for yourself.

I would love to hear your thoughts on them.

Wonderful to be able to catch up with fellow potters and art lovers in this beautiful setting in Dorking.

It was great to be able to exhibit at the Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester just as lockdown was easing up. I enjoyed showcasing with 23 other artists in this beautiful newly refurbished exhibition venue.

“Pop-up Exhibition and shop” with The Makers’ Art Collective and Transition 1st December - 24th December 2020

3-4 Lion & Lamb Way, Yard, Farnham GU9 7LL

We were lucky that Farnham is in the borough of Waverley, which made it possible to stay open till Christmas as it was in tier 3. We had so many wonderful visitors enjoying being engaged with their local community, meeting and talking with artists and sharing a humble thing of being human during what is meant to be a time of gathering.

I was fortunate to talk to art lovers and experience the wonderful feeling it is to sell some of your work to someone who is really excited about it.

“Pop-up Exhibition and shop” with Making Matters - 8th October - 8th November 2020

3-4 Lion & Lamb Way, Yard, Farnham GU9 7LL

During my time as an Artist in Residence at UCA Farnham I enjoyed early collaboration with four fellow artists in residence. and we established the art collective: “Making Matters”. Our residencies came to a sudden stop when Covid ravaged the world and we were sadly unable to complete our residency. However, the five of us established the community project “Another Brick in the Wall” to celebrate Farnham’s newly awarded status as a “World Craft City, in June 2020.

Another major achievement was to be given the go ahead to open an artists’ pop-up exhibition in an historic building right in the heart of Farnham. We invited 16 other artists to join us in exhibiting a varity of art and craft work. We were thrilled when the Mayor Mrs Pat Evans came to cut the ribbon despite social distancing and was showing real enthusiasm for the quality of work.

Unfortunately, Covid made a sudden stop to this excitng venture and we were forced to close on 8th November. We had enjoyed sharing stories, work and experiences between artists and visitors, which kept us going through another period of the unknown.

“Gifted in Guildford” with Surrey Guild of Craftsmen - 7th - 24th December 2019

Guildford House Gallery, 155 High Street, Guildford GU1 3AJ

A festive exhibition to be a part of with 12 other artists. Unfortunately, I managed to knock down another ceramicist’s work and ended up losing my gains, as what I had earned, I had to spend reimbursing damaged work.

"Connected - The Makers' Art" with the Makers Art Collective - 11th - 22nd September 2019

OXO Tower Wharf Gallery, Barge House St, London SE1 9PH

It was so wonderful to exhibit with other amazing artists and makers at the OXO Tower Wharf Gallery during London Design Week. The photos depict my body of work; “Damaged Goods” being explored by an encouraging audience.

Surrey Artists’ Open Studios with Wey Ceramics - 1st -16th June 2019

Members exhibit and sell at Wymbleton House, Henfold Lane, South Holmwood, Dorking, Surrey RH5 4NX

Lovely to exhibit with such talented potters and ceramicists in this beautiful setting. I am glad that I belong to this art group as it is very down to earth and friendly. The weather was dreadful but the enthusiasm to demonstrate raku firing kept us warm. The magic never ceases to excite me.

Farnham MA Graduation Show - 27th- 30th August 2019

James Hockey Gallery at University for the Creative Arts, Falkner Road, Farnham, Surrey GU9 7DS

“Damaged Goods” - Large thrown and smaller slip cast vessels altered with thrown objects breaking the rims. The monochrome work evokes a stark contrast to the colourful wedding clothes. In this body of work I am aiming to express grief through violation to a whole.

“Fired Works” with Wey Ceramics Society - 3rd - 24th November 2018

Haslemere Museum, 78 High Street, Haslemere, Surrey GU27 2LA

It was interesting to exhibit in this historic building housing Haslemere Museum. I enjoyed the private view sharing a glass of wine with other ceramicists, friends and family. I am always thankful to all those people who support me on my creative journey,
